This project reminds me of our non-profit, The Remembering Site, www.therememberingsite.org where we help people in end stages of life write, share and publish their life stories. Makes a great gift to a loved one!
Love the website, by the way - saw the article on CCN.com this morning. If there's ever a Seattle version I have lost many gloves here over the years!
(To the Brazilian above: You can have my husband. He's American and cute. If you don't mind dozens of annoying habits that will drive you crazy after 10 years!)
I think this a great idea who's time has come leave up to woman to think of such a thing. I was just wondering one thing do these gloves ever find each other? Even if they don't I think it is great idea.
If any one finds my missing glove it would be so wonderful for me to find it again. I still have the other one. It is white and full of sequins. I lost it on stage at Madison Square Gardens in the 1980's
I lost a glove that looks exactly like this one, and on the exact corner that this one was found, but it can't be mine. My glove had a hundred dollar bill in it.
Heard about this on radio - great interview! How about "one cold foot" for all those single lost socks? So glad there are clever people like you amongst us. Almost wish I lived in Pittsburg.
This is great! years ago I read a story in Reader's Digest about 1 shoe. Now when ever I see one shoe along the road it makes me wonder. Now I can wonder about 1 glove also, however I might find the owner of the glove thanks to your web site.
"onecoldhand.com is a project that connects the Pittsburgh community through one unfortunate event - the loss of a glove. The website creates a method for dealing with the conundrum of finding these lost articles. Do you leave it and hope the owner comes back to find it? Do you pick it up? Throw it away? With onecoldhand.com, the abandoned object now becomes a symbol of benevolence and hope." -----Jennifer Gooch
SEE YOUR GLOVE? email a picture of the other glove to onecoldhand@gmail.com - we'll reunite them for free!

(I still have stickers, if you'd like them for nostalgia's sake.)
wanna be a finder? stickers available at drop-boxes or by mail!
find a glove, leave a sticker...
One Cold Hand is no longer, but there are plenty of lost and founds, Craigslists, and other means of trying to connect someone with the thing they have lost.

For the warmer places, you should start "one hot bikini" to reunite bikini tops and bottoms. You heard it here first. S McCue

I wish I knew how to create a web site but I don't because I have a great idea.
Has Michael Jackson visited yet?

I haven't lost a glove but I about lost my mind when i heard what you are doing.
I have four children and lost gloves are not only an everyday occurence but doesn't even register on the list of what matters in life.
Are you Michael Jackson?
Cute idea. I hope the gloves find each other again :) Good luck with this buisness in the new year! Very very original indeed!
