You've put quite some effort into this, haven't you. I've been rescueing single gloves for a couple of years now. I used to hang them on my room's wall, but after temporarily moving out I didn't bother to hang them back (let's face it, it is not that asthetic). So with Christmas coming I actually had the idea of using at least 24 of them for a advent calendar. Since I found them all over the place there is unfortunately not much of a chance to reunite any and I was already scolded at for not leaving them on the street where the owner might find them again, but being run over by cars all day is easily beaten by being dried and spending the rest with fellow lost and found gloves.
This is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of! WTF!!!! how many gloves have you stolen?!!! mabye you and the people over at reserveaspotinheaven.com should get together and set a Guinness record for the dumbest website in the whole world.
wow, i'm also from Brazil! this is sooo cool. well jen, as you already know, someone in Brazil found your website and now it's news. amazing idea! I think the warmth you're making people feel while visiting the site is even more important than reuniting the gloves. congratulations ;))
Please ignore the ugly comment by jumbo..I would love to give him a piece of my mind. With all the hate, evil, and violence on the net, this is so refreshing!!! Please continue!
I'm from Scotland, read about this in the Sunday Newspaper mag so thought I'd take a look. Don't know if I'd actually pick up a glove from the street, anything could be in/on it!
I'm from Belgium, Europe and I also found this site in a popular woman's magazine...I think it's a very nice, heartwarming idea! and I also think the people who've send hate-comments are also people that have "too much time on their hands" but prefer "waisting" it on saying intolerante and idiotic things... Keep up the good work! My day started bad but now I have a little smile on my face...:-)
"onecoldhand.com is a project that connects the Pittsburgh community through one unfortunate event - the loss of a glove. The website creates a method for dealing with the conundrum of finding these lost articles. Do you leave it and hope the owner comes back to find it? Do you pick it up? Throw it away? With onecoldhand.com, the abandoned object now becomes a symbol of benevolence and hope." -----Jennifer Gooch
SEE YOUR GLOVE? email a picture of the other glove to onecoldhand@gmail.com - we'll reunite them for free!
LOSE A PAIR? We get pairs all the time. Email a detailed description of your gloves to onecoldhand@gmail.com. Unclaimed pairs will be donated to charity.
MEDIA INQUIRES: contact Eric Sloss 412-268-5765 cell: 412-480-7246 ecs@andrew.cmu.edu
(I still have stickers, if you'd like them for nostalgia's sake.)
wanna be a finder? stickers available at drop-boxes or by mail!
find a glove, leave a sticker...
One Cold Hand is no longer, but there are plenty of lost and founds, Craigslists, and other means of trying to connect someone with the thing they have lost.

Hi. I think it's a great idea, because even though some people think it's stupid, it shows how much you want to help. Totally worthwhile. =)
